Wildfire Recovery Cruise Poster FinalThe Quesnel Prospectors would like to thank you for visiting Quesnel during the Wildfire Cruise.  It was great to see the cars around town, with your members enjoying what our beautiful and friendly city has to offer.  It was a reminder of how we all pulled together to support each other during last year’s wildfire disaster.  Thank you, Vanessa

VI Cruises had a great time visiting Quesnel on July 9, having lunch and visiting the shops in town and along Hwy 97. We enjoyed our day in the sun at the “Rendezvous” picnic in the Williams Lake Stampede Park on Sunday July 8 and Chuck’s Auto Supply 4th annual show and shine across the street!  On this cruise we stayed in Cache Creek and Williams Lake and ventured out to Logan Lake, Ashcroft and Quesnel.  We stopped in at Clinton, Hat Creek Ranch, 100 Mile House and other locations along the way.

VI Cruises classic car group was in Williams Lake one year ago to the day, heading towards Dawson Creek. We drove out of Williams Lake and through Quesnel as the fires came down from the hills. We went there again this year to spend some time with friends and some money in local businesses that are still fighting the economic after effects of last year’s wildfire season.

We send our thanks and best wishes to the businesses which made special offers to persons and vehicles participating in the Wildfire Cruise. We enjoyed meeting you along the road.

The purpose of this site was to encourage classic vehicle drivers and motorcyclists to visit the Hwy 97 corridor community this year to contribute to the economy. Thank you for visiting and a special thanks for those cruisers who found their way to Hwy. 97 this summer.
